Scott Glenn, Chairman & CEO

Before joining Exagen, Mr. Glenn was the founder and Managing Partner of Windamere Venture Partners. Companies in the Windamere portfolio raised in excess of $1 billion for emerging medical technology businesses. Mr. Glenn is also the past Chairman and founder of Prometheus Laboratories, Santarus (Nasdaq:SNTS), Dexcom (Nasdaq:DXCM), SpineWave, and Conception Technologies. In addition, he was a founder at Zogenix, NovaCardia (sold to Merck), Proprius (sold to Cypress), Somaxon Pharmaceuticals (Nasdaq:SOMX), Cadence Pharmaceuticals (Nasdaq:CADX and Avera Pharmaceuticals.

Prior to his involvement in venture capital, he was the President and CEO of Quidel Corporation (Nasdaq:QDEL). Prior to Quidel, Mr. Glenn held various management positions including Division General Manager with Allergan Pharmaceuticals (NYSE: AGN). He serves as a director and founder of Evoke Pharmaceuticals and Planet Biopharmaceuticals.



John Alsobrook II, Ph.D., CSO

Dr. Alsobrook has more than 25 years of industry and academic experience. While at Exagen, he previously served as Director of Discovery, VP of Biomarker Validation, and COO. Prior to joining Exagen in 2005, Dr. Alsobrook was a consultant for biotech and pharmaceutical clients including Genaissance Pharmaceuticals, Amersham Health, and G.E. Healthcare. He was CuraGen Corporation's genetics supervisor for drug discovery and also senior research scientist for pharmacogenomics.

From 1996-2000, Alsobrook was associate faculty scientist at Yale School of Medicine Child Study Center, where he investigated inherited psychiatric disorders. He holds separate B.S. degrees in biochemistry and physics from California State University Los Angeles, and both an M. Phil. and a Ph.D. from Yale University's Department of Genetics.



Beverly Cormier, V.P., Commercialization

Ms. Cormier has more than twenty years experience spanning the genomic, clinical diagnostics, and medical device industries. Prior to Exagen, Ms. Cormier was Vice President Business Development of Alverix, a point of care medical device company. She is also the founder and President of BioScience Business Solutions, an executive consulting firm that works with early and mid-stage private companies providing a wide range of business services.

The remainder of her career has been spent in a variety of senior management positions with emerging healthcare companies, assisting two in moving from the private to the public sector. She graduated Cum Laude from the University of Cincinnati with a BS degree in Health Sciences and did her graduate work at Miami University in Health Care.

Lisa Davis, Ph.D., Senior V.P., Product Development

Dr. Davis has 18 years of experience conducting and managing genetic research. She served as Associate Director for Molecular Genetics at Applied Genetics Laboratory, where she managed DNA probe R&D. Previously, she was a postdoctoral fellow and research associate at the Roswell Park Memorial Institute. Dr. Davis holds a Ph.D. in molecular biology from the University of North Carolina.


Cole Harris, Senior V.P., Discovery

Mr. Harris is the key inventor and developer of the Exagen data-mining platform and a co-founder of the company. Prior to Exagen, Mr. Harris worked as a Senior Scientist at Quasar International, Inc., where he developed novel pattern recognition algorithms for application in the non-destructive testing industry. A subset of these algorithms forms the core of Exagen's computational engine.

Before his work at Quasar, Mr. Harris was engaged in research on computational methods of imaging seismic data as a senior researcher at Veritas DGC, and has several publications in this field. Mr. Harris has 20 years of experience in the development of sophisticated computational algorithms, and holds an M.A. in physics from Johns Hopkins University.



Wendy Swedick, CPA, Chief Financial Officer

Wendy Swedick has over 20 years of experience providing leadership in both corporate and entrepreneurial organizations. She was part of the senior management team of a $3 billion telecommunications company and the CFO for a successful entrepreneurial start-up. She has also taken the lead in product development efforts. Wendy is currently a senior mentor for the New Directions Institute. Wendy is a graduate of the University of New Mexico and the Leadership New Mexico program.
